			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Mr. Zelman recently tried a divorce modification case in Orange County Circuit court where he successfully argued that an 18 year old child (who otherwise would be emancipated and not subject to ongoing child support), remained dependant for which a child support obligation should continue into adulthood as result of her type 1 diabetic medical condition. Mr. Zelman had argued that due to extensive medical and insurance expenses which the child (who was in college) could not yet afford, the custodial parent should be entitled to ongoing child support to offset these expenses.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Section 61.13001 Florida Statutes, was amended effective October 1, 2009. Very important procedural and substantive changes were made regarding both how the notice and/or objections regarding the proposed relocation of children must be handled.  Anyone who seeks to relocate a minor child or children more than 50 miles from their current residence for at least 60 consecutive days, or wishes to object to such a relocation, should be very familiar with all of the requirements of this statute!</p>
